I wrote this poem as I reminder to myself of what a grievous sinner I am and what a wonderful Savior I have.
Oh! What a grievous sinner am I!
That You, my Lord, for me should die.
Why the yoke that I should bare,
Be upon Your shoulders shared?
Why the scourges I should take,
Be, upon my Lord’s back, made?
Why the tears that I should weep,
Be upon my Savior’s cheek?
Oh! What a grievous sinner am I!
That You, my Lord, for me should die.

If you look at it right, it’s almost like a hymn :O

Aw, Thank you! Yes, I also noticed the typical hymnal cadence in this poem. Maybe I should give it to Pastor Moore and just see what he can do with it.😉
